Medicare Part D users have a month and a half or 46 days to review over their current health plans and make any necessary adjustments before annual changes go into effect.
Part D, used mainly by seniors or the disabled, have until January 1, 2009 to give their plans a second look and make sure it is covering everything they need.
Many users don't realize that things can change at the beginning of every year and that it is their responsibility to look at their plans to see and make sure that their current plans will still work for them the following year.
Premiums, co-pays and formularies are the most common things to change. Analysts expect changes in 2009 will deal primarily with premiums and co-pays.
Life Senior Services will be holding clinics over the next few weeks to make sure users understand their plans, but users must call to make an appointment.
To book an appointment, call 918.664.9000. The first clinic is scheduled for Monday, December 22.
