The EIC is a special tax benefit for working people who earn low or moderate incomes. Workers who qualify for the EIC and file a federal tax return can get back some or all of the federal income tax that was taken out of their pay during the year. They may also get extra cash back from the IRS. Even workers whose earnings are too small to have paid taxes can get the EIC.

Many low income Oklahomans will be eligible to recieve a Sales Tax Rebate for 2009. If you receive TANF or if you continuously receive aid to the aged, blind, disabled or Medicaid payment for nursing home care during 2009 you DO NOT qualify for this rebate. You must file a form 538-S with the Tax Commission. Link to the form and instructions.

A rebate of $18 per household is available for persons who are age 65 or older as of 12/31/2007 and who resided in Tulsa County for the entire year 2007.

Many low income Oklahomans will be eligible to recieve a Property Tax Refund or Credit for 2009. If you receive are 65 years of age or oder, or are totally disabled and a head of household AND are a resident of Oklahoma all year, you may be eligible to receive a Property Tax Credit for Oklahoma. You must also not have gross income of more than $12,000. You must file a form 538-H with the Tax Commission. Link to the form and instructions.
